Les Oiseaux
The Quatrain
Les oiseaux de malheur Annoncent la douleur, Mais heureusement, Pas pour bien longtemps.
The birds bring agitation or sorrow, but it passes quickly. Their trouble is noisy rather than permanent.
The Archetype
Agitation and noise, real but temporary — the card is careful to promise it won't last long. Not every disturbance is a deep one; Jung distinguished between the psyche's surface chatter and its genuine depths, and this card belongs to the surface.
A Practice For Today
Let one noisy worry today just be noise, without treating it as a verdict on anything deeper.
