Le Renard
The Quatrain
Le renard arrive. Ce conseil : sois prudent.
The fox does not condemn cleverness; it asks for watchfulness. Look twice, and trust what earns trust.
The Archetype
Cleverness that asks to be watched, not condemned. Jung's Trickster archetype is neither villain nor fool — it's intelligence that hasn't yet proven which direction it's pointed, and the sensible response is a second look, not immediate suspicion or immediate trust.
A Practice For Today
Take a second look today at one thing or person you were about to judge too quickly, in either direction.
