Le Fouet
The Quatrain
La verge signifie Au mari zizanie, À l'épouse des soucis, Des chagrins, le ciel gris.
The whip brings conflict into the household: quarrels, worry, and the gray weather of repeated hurt.
The Archetype
Discord for one, worry for the other, a gray sky returning again and again. This has the shape of what Jung called a complex — an emotional pattern that keeps re-triggering the same conflict until someone finally looks at what's actually underneath it.
A Practice For Today
The next time a familiar argument starts today, pause and name the actual pattern out loud before continuing it.
