The Chariot

The Charioteer

The Artwork

Alexander the Great takes the reins of two horses, his countenance shrouded by an apparition of The Blue Boy; a compass and the Pleiades guide the way.

What This Card Means

Announces it's time to take the reins and take charge. Gather your nearest and dearest and charge confidently toward your goals. If you've felt delayed, obstacles are being removed — but not without action on your part. Partner with forces greater than yourself, then move forward confidently.

The Archetype

Alexander the Great holds the reins of two horses pulling in different directions, his face half-obscured by an apparition riding with him. This is the Hero archetype at the moment of committed motion — not the planning of the Emperor, but the actual pulling-forward, with whatever ghosts come along for the ride.

A Practice For Today

Pick the direction you've already half-decided on and take one visible step toward it today, publicly enough that turning back costs something.
