The Tower
The Artwork
Hokusai's Great Wave tears at the foundation of Anthonisz's Tower of Babel; the structure collapses as humanity scatters and a legion of angels falls to earth.
What This Card Means
An abrupt, earth-shattering ending. Don't let this strike fear — sometimes our worlds must be shaken to clear a path to truth. The Universe isn't out to get you; this shift is for your growth and resilience. Lean into intuition to address the cracks so the bedlam may be contained.
The Archetype
Hokusai's great wave tears into the foundation of a Tower of Babel already built too high, too fast. Jung called it inflation — the ego convincing itself it's bigger than it is — and warned that reality tends to correct this itself, suddenly, if the ego won't do it voluntarily first.
A Practice For Today
Name one place where you've been overreaching or overpromising, and pull back from it today before something else forces the correction.
