Major Arcana VII
The Chariot
The Heroic Will
The card
Alexander the Great takes the reins of two horses in the style of Ancient Greece. His countenance is shrouded with an apparition of The Blue Boy, said to be an homage to Charles II and the restoration of the monarchy. The forces of ego, privilege, and will coalesce to guide the way forward.
The compass and Pleiades offer direction along the way and serve as agents of change, transforming his will into concrete action and progress.
The Chariot announces that the time has come to take the reins and take charge. Gather your nearest and dearest to support you and charge ahead confidently in the direction of your goals, dreams, and intuitive leadings. If you have felt delayed or hindered on your path, this card signifies obstacles being removed, but not without action on your part. Partner with forces greater than yourself to aid you in gathering the courage and fortitude you need to take action. Then move forward confidently!
What needs direction rather than suppression?

The archetype in motion
Contrary energies gather behind a consciously chosen direction. Its shadow is conquest for its own sake. Integration directs strong energies without declaring war upon every resistant part of the self.
