The card
The old cartomantic manuals associate the Two of Diamonds with a secret or unexpected development; here that omen is treated as psychological weather, not a verdict. Ancient Greek bodies and geometries place beauty beside proportion, asking whether excellence serves life or merely wins the laurel wreath. Two creates a charged interval: self and other, yes and no, appetite and duty facing one another across immaculate upholstery. The secret introduces asymmetry; before exposing it, ask whether concealment protects incubation or merely protects power. Diamonds belong to psychic value and persona: what is exchanged, displayed, possessed, or praised, and the deeper question of whether the public measure matches the soul's. Jung treated such opposites as psychic energy rather than defects; the task is to hold the tension long enough for a less obvious choice to appear.
