Five of Pentacles

Disruption in the embodied life

The card

The Five of Cups represents a glance forward as well as upward. After taking inventory of former accomplishments in the Four of Pentacles, we now take a look outside of the knowledge we’ve gathered and step into awareness of all we have yet to achieve.

The foundation of the four pentacles still exists here, but now with a fifth at its center. This is the first inclination towards a more conscious relationship with the 3D world - a metaphorical “taking out the trash” and setting our sights higher.

Let your reach exceed your grasp in this moment, but beware of falling victim to fantasy or illusion.

What no longer serves the life within you through body, labor, resources, home, and inheritance?

The archetype in motion

A settled pattern is disturbed so that value, belief, and sacrifice can be reconsidered. Here it moves through body, labor, resources, home, and inheritance. Its gift becomes available when the reader can hold both its conscious expression and the less comfortable possibility carried in its shadow.
